He's almost 3 and becoming a sassy "threenager". But along with the sass and backtalk are some pretty funny quotes. The parson's wife, Nebraska Sarah, encouraged me to write this stuff down before I forget so here seemed as good a place as any to record the witty remarks of Z.
On the way to daycare we often stop and get a doughnut.
Mom- "Do you want a doughnut?"
Z - "No! I want the doughnut's balls!"
As he sat at the table one day and watched the dust particles in the sunlight, he announced that he was "catching dust flies" Good thing our house is 80 + years old, there's lots of "dust flies" and dust bunnies despite my best efforts.
Once spring arrived and we had our yard re-landscaped he said "Can we get a swing sex now?"
Several times now in public, when his sister cries, he'll remind me, loudly, "Mama! Her need a booby!"
And to anything you ask him - Are you cold? Are you hungry? Are you a big brother?
His standard reply - "No, I'm Z."

Even though I'm the "pappa" babysitter I'm always amused and amazed at this website. Z is very special to me and I'm sure M will be also. Good job mom and dad!
