The little diva is almost 1. She knows she's daddy's princess and she uses it to her full advantage. Amazing how early we learn that skill... Still not walking but close, if she doesn't think about it, she'll take a few steps. She's responding to simple commands "Show me... Want more? Give me..." Music is one of her likes as well. She still bobs to songs she likes just like a parrot does but now is clapping and "singing". This month the social skills really kicked in. Her facial expressions tell it all and you know just what she's thinking. Such a fun age!

Toddler Wit
As for Z - he's had some zingers lately so it's time to update. Several of our friends have recently become parents or are about to and in honor of that - here are some things I never thought I would say as a parent and some things your kids might say some day! Just make sure you record them somewhere when you/they do.
At bathtime -
Z-The water's too hot!
Daddy - No it's not, M isn't complaining
Z-But Dad, my weenie will get cooked like a hot dog.
For Christmas he got his magic set so I took the wand, waved it at him and said Expextro Patronum!
Z- No mom, Expextro YOUtronum!
The other night he left a piece of string next to his bed. Apparently it was very important to him but I thought it was trash and pitched it. The next day at lunch he was in hysterics because as he said "The dust mites in my room took it!" Be careful when you explain the virtues of dusting to a 3 year old.

Mom-isms I never thought I would say -
"Honey, we don't lick knives."
"Don't pee on your sister!" (bathtime)
"Get your ______ off the table." Take a wild guess what body part it was.
"She's eating batteries!"
"Put the yellow snow down!"
Welcome to parenthood everyone! Prepare to lose your mind and love every minute of it!
