8 Months

She can hold her own in wrestling matches with her brother now!

Hard to believe she's closing in on her first birthday already. She just doesn't slow down. Still tiny and still mighty, she's pulling herself up to a standing position all the time. She's even let go and stood there but panics and sits down. Two teeth popped in literally the day after I did her 7 month post and two more are about to come in - watch out big brother!

Happy Halloween

Candy, costumes, ghosts, fall. I LOVE Halloween!!!! I dropped the ball a bit on my own costume and wore an old one - my alter boy outfit (my students loved it for some reason) but I did bust out the sewing machine for the kids. My sewing skills are basic at best, I'm just not picky enough to be a good seamstress. 1/2 inch? 1/4 inch? Same thing! Close enough! You get the idea.

But this year Z decided he wanted to be The Man in the Yellow Hat and M had to be Curious George. Of course he would pick a costume I had to make. True I did make a scarecrow 2 years ago but that was easy. Making a poacher's outfit in bright yellow is a bit harder. (Yes, he's a poacher, watch the older movies and read the older books, very un-PC!) George we bought, but I think Z's outfit turned out fairly decent. I also made a cowgirl vest and skirt for Cousin A. I was a regular Martha Stewart this year! Enjoy the pictures!
