Easter and Illness

The Easter bunny brought him a REAL soccer ball! Although the colors are a bit questionable...

Easter Egg hunt at the park. The toddler group was corraled in the tennis courts, smart!

Decorating eggs with cousin A. He did one, then left to go eat candy he got at the park.

Spring break started with an April snow storm, M was diagnosed with RSV on Wednesday and the rest of the week was spent at doctor's offices, doing breathing treatments and wiping snot. Luckliy she improved quickly and seems to be out of the woods. They decided not to put her in the hospital but we had some scary moments. Now Z has it but he's just miserable with a nasty cold.

With luck, spring will arrive, the weather will improve and health will improve. The kid's doctor said this year has espeically been bad with stuff like RSV, far beyond the normal.

Pitiful isn't it? She actually likes the treatments because she can breathe, she'll even hold the mask herself.

The First Month aka No More Sleep for Us!

Slightly sleep deprived but we made it through the first month! To date, M is almost 10 pounds and gaining more. She's a great eater! And pooper and tooter. Her digestive system is a finely tuned instrument. An easy baby, she doesn't cry unless hungry, she mainly talks through grunts and groans.

Big bro is still enjoying her. Many people are quick to point out that sooner or later he will act out due to jealousy but I think they're jealous because he has taken to her so well. I know the sibling fights will happen, especially once she's into his stuff but I think we avoided the initial jealousy tantrums. Lucky, we know. Daycare says he has improved in behavior since she's been born talking about "My baby seester" all the time. He's eager to show her off to people, likes to hold her and kisses her often. I will look back at this time fondly I'm sure when they are slugging it out over a toy.
Thank you to all who sent gifts, especially to Z. He loved getting big brother presents and it made him feel special. We needed girl clothes, M wears a lot of her brother's hand me downs so thank you for all the clothes!

Enjoy the pictures! Easter pictures will be posted next week.
